Spotting the Critical Success Factors of Enterprise Resource Planning Implementation in the Context of Public Higher Education Sector

The failure of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation in higher education institutions (HEIs) worldwide is much than other sectors, such as banking or manufacturing, yet limited research has been conducted on this field. To date, previous literature identified some critical success factors (CSFs) mostly either the domain information system (IS) industrial context. Hence, article identifies and categorises CSFs ERP HEIs from multiple aspects. Semi-structured face-to-face interviews were with technicians managers three Public Jordanian HEIs. main finding study identification characterization new sector- context-specific CSFs. This contributes to identifying evidence successful systems public sector, which not fully investigated any documented sector. also brings out insights for need sustainable sector during crisis time.
